New Beginnings

I'm not going to bore you with the big, long story but in a nutshell I just spent the last two years of my life imagining, creating, opening, running then closing my business. Although it was heartbreaking to see my dreams of a thriving art studio and birthday party venue disintegrate the journey was amazing. Like they say "its the journey not the destination"! This is true for me. As my friend Diane says "creating and running all aspects of a business is the equivalent of earning a masters degree in business. I learned a lot, met the most wonderful people and I have learned to value my life before I started my business. And that is what this blog is about. Slowing down, rediscovering the things I really love to do and sharing the things I now notice that I did not notice while I was engulfed in the all consuming act of being an entrepreneur. My hobbies are drawing, teaching, scrapbooking, quilting, traveling, cooking and reading and that is what you will find here. So thanks for taking the time to check my blog out-I'll try not to bore you!
